Anyone able to make that available without a paywall/sign up?
It just let me view it when I went on it, but always prefer the non-paywall version, just wish I understood how that worked...

Panja is a paid up Scouse bastard client journalists.Interesting article from 2020 about the appointment of Masters. By Rory Smith and Tariq Panja, but it does shed some light on the process.
The 'Dave Howe' part is interesting.

Why did it take the Premier League more than a year to hire a chief executive? The answer might lie in who was given a say, and in a growing gap between the rich and the even richer.www.nytimes.com
Go to https://archive.ph/ and put the web address into the 2nd (blue) bar and hit 'search'. If there are any saved versions they'll pop up. If something isn't there then come back later and you may get lucky. The 1st (red, boo) bar is if you have an unlocked site you wish to save yourself. It just let me view it when I went on it, but always prefer the non-paywall version, just wish I understood how that worked...
Yet another example of the PL tail wagging the dog. The board should make the final decision, yet it seems to be completely servile to vested interests among its members.Interesting article from 2020 about the appointment of Masters. Not exactly 50 shades is it?The Pemsel one is odd too. He was forced to quit after the press released some personal texts between him and a woman. He was married at the time.
The texts were flirtatious, but not vulgar (if the ones I saw were all of them anyway). And that was it.
So.. how did a paper get hold of them? Someone's mobile was hacked perhaps?? Very convenient if you owned a football club and he wasn't the one you wanted in charge.
There is so much more to Master's appointment, but there's zero pressure appetite to look into it. I hope City have looked into it all independently.
To lose your job over these????

So because the fella’s dad played football he was an “impeccable” choice to run the PL?Panja is a paid up Scouse bastard client journalists.
You are right about the Howe part of the article.
New The Fall tune?My life fades. The vision dims. All that remains are memories. I remember a time of chaos, ruined dreams, this wasted club. But most of all I remember the Centre forward, the man we called 'Aguero'. To understand who he was you have to go back to another time, when the game was powered by the red cartel, and the media spouted great lies of bluff and bluster. Gone now, swept away.
Genau!Twice is better than not at all!
I always felt sorry for Don Howe. Especially if he was travelling a long way and needed an urgent toilet stop whilst tooteling down the M6. Only to be told at The Services “No Football Coaches Allowed.”So because the fella’s dad played football he was an “impeccable” choice to run the PL?
Fuck me sideways.
