I'm watching the event on youtube at about half an hour behind so this is actually a fair bit back, but I noticed that during the bit where they announced the EDS kids graduating to the first team, the segment was sponsored by Nexen Tire. That company is the South Korean company we were supposedly talking with about a link-up to take over a team in the K-League, but following the standard denials of deals (which City also did when the press got wind of the NYCFC deal) there was no sponsorship deal signed, let alone a K-League team. Now suddenly they are sponsoring parts of City Live. Makes me wonder whether there is actually more to the rumours than just hearsay.
