City Matters thread

I wouldn't know the need for a LGBT rep or rep based on ethnicity, or disability because I’m a white heterosexual, middle aged man and wouldn’t know the problems or issues faced by those groups at football grounds and wouldn’t want to claim to speak for those groups and whether they need reps that understand their issues.
If they believe they do then they should be represented by those that do understand any issues from experience then it’s good that they are. It’s not dividing us it’s ensuring we can all get the same enjoyment from going to games.

I take your point.

I very much doubt every City fan would have voted for a white male FOC if it had been an open ballot. I’m sure the club would have picked a diverse CM’s panel from the candidates and the votes cast. I don’t need to know if a person is male, female, young, old, white, black, Asian, disabled, straight, gay, bisexual, etc. As long as they are all City fans, and are willing to represent the fans, and not to be swayed by the club, that‘s good enough for me.

Maybe it’s just a pet hate of mine, but I hate it when people are pigeon holed for whatever reason.

WTF happened on here, I think Tim of the Oak posted this in a light hearted manner which was humorous.
WW3 erupts, sounds like a right load of nonsense who even cares about the woman in the first place. Completely irrelevant, Bayern Munich away! 3-0 up first leg see you all in Munich! more relevant :P
Can’t believe this only got one like, think it’s what happens when things are going well on the pitch mate, we like to light the torches & arm with pitch forks for any cause, back to the football hopefully….. until we find out she’s been on a jolly up for years, cup final tickets, pre match meals, player merch, celebrity meets, tea & biscuits, plus one tickets, use of a box, all for fweeee

Strangely enough seeing as I played it myself when it was frowned on, in the 40s and 50s, it’s not really for me either apart from the odd match

I suppose if I was a psychiatrist I would argue it’s jealousy!! :-) I prefer to think envy.

However I have a great deal of respect and admiration for Steph Houghton who has overcome a lot injury wise plus with her husband being ill. She’s a fighter and a grafter.
You play for the Dick Kerr ladies EB ? Old school Joan Stones sneaking into midfield

Maybe some sort of metric needs to be introduced to this process. Something that validates the merits of someone’s ‘Top Blue’ credentials. Someone whose City knowledge is both comprehensive and impressive. A Massive Blue.

Modesty prevents me from nominating the most suitable candidate…
1. Were you at York away?
2. Have you been on Ian Cheeseman’s podcast to tell the same old stories about the 80s at least 100 times?
