City myths that aren't true

Adrian Heath missed an absolute sitter in the home derby in 1991. If the myth is talking about the chance seen on the YouTube highlights of that game it was a half-chance.

Not in a million years, anyone who was there would know that the crossed ball was deflected in off Colin Hendry, only the rag media thought that Wilson scored.

^^^^^ My memory says that this is 100% Correct ^^^^^

low cross from the left, Colin Hendry slide to get a touch, bounced over Margetson.
OG

and it wasn't his debut, it was his first start.

Giggs didn't cross it, he slid in alongside Hendry who got the only touch on the ball but ran it into his own net. I had a perfect view of it from my place in the Scoreboard paddock.

Edited the first post now so that it reads to say what I thought it said. You are correct Mr lancblue. Don't know the names of their stands, but I was a seventeen year old sat on my own surrounded by scum in some home fans seats, really low down and directly behind the cross, shite experience all thanks to a red mate of mine telling me "I can get you a derby ticket".

I've developed a whole new meaning of the phrase "100% correct" today haven't I.

One on one when he blazed it over the bar? Agree with you if that's what you mean, more difficult than it looked

-- Wed Nov 14, 2012 4:30 pm --

No- they didn't show that one; the one they showed was a little sideways dink over Scmeichel that went wide.
