cannot understand why they have not solved the problem of mega wait at bars .
you go to cricket or races and they have pumps that pull 5 pints at a time.
is it against the law to sell cans inside the ground ?
would much prefer buying a draught can of boddingtons, easier to serve and always a nice drink.

Must be a hole in the bottom of these cups then?

Surely that ain't good

Agreed, the answer to our problems is never at the bottom of a glass.

I tell you what, it's about time football fans stopped accepting being treated like kids with regards to alcohol.

The queues are partly because all bottles and cans must be decanted. Also you can't bring booze to your seat, so everyone hits the bar at once. Throw in the fact that you can't buy a pint for a European game, and even though you've paid £300 for a corporate seat you have to close the curtains to have a drink.

These "rules" were put in place when football was a different game. It's about time we stood up for ourselves. The fences have come down, so should these draconian, Taylor-report measures,

Went to Warrington v Leeds a few weeks ago. Circa 10k crowd - plenty of fans STOOD in the South Stand having a good old drink. Not one bit of trouble. As the OP states, it's about time changes are made re licensing at football stadia.

These glasses have a hole in the bottom which is sealed by a magnet . When the glass is placed on the valve it breaks the magnetic seal to let the beer in. Great idea but I suspect the glasses aren't that cheap.

I bet they'd pay for themselves in beer sales after one match.

I asked in another thread is this a form of discrimination?

We're being penalised for the crime of being football supporters and surely by allowing concert goers or rugby fans to drink alcohol in the same seat I can't is someway illegal. Maybe I'm wrong but seems that way to me.
