I think Clive Allen loved it here. Always talks fondly about his time with City.

My mate worked at Platt Lane at that time and he said Clive Allen and Howard Kendal were the only two of the playing / coaching staff who had the time of day for him and his colleagues

Where did you see/hear Anelka say that about us? He was always about himself, I can’t imagine thinking much of us.

He did a documentary a few years back where he praised city fans for giving a fuck about him, unlike other clubs and wanted to repay it more than he could.

I was waiting for a flight to Malta years ago at Manchester Airport and Anelka was waiting for a flight to somewhere or other and he clocked me in my City shirt and actually let on. My bloody Missus was off somewhere buying some shite or other as per usual and had the digital camera with her. No mobile phone back then. I was less than happy when she finally appeared with some ‘bargain’ yet again. The whole thing got even better when some twat showed me a picture he’d managed to get with Anelka!!
Same holiday she woke me up mid afternoon to inform me that we were having a power cut and the air conditioning had packed up - the temperature at the time was 40+
We’re still together- somehow!!!!

Anelka, hate the twat, after we beat the barcodes 1-0, think it was 2002-03 season, on way home clutch went on car, me n my daughter stranded, Anelka drove by in is big 4×4, smiled n waved at us, didn't even offer us a lift home....twat!!.....;-).

Shay's a legend, spent a night on the piss in Maynooth with him and Dunnie years back when they were both playing for City. Dunnie was a bit of a **** tbh but Shay was fucking sound and still sorts me with match tickets to games (both City and Ireland) to this day.
