City on a tv show?

Anyone remember the BBC 3 series, Burn It?

There was a good trailer where three Blues were sat on a bench and United fans kept walking past. One of the Blues says “They’re everywhere aren’t they? Can’t get away from them. This Town is definitely red”. Then it pans out and they’re in London by the Thames.

In the film buster, Phil Collins is reading the paper in the pool when he cheerfully says Charlton athletic beat man city 2 1 with Eddie Firmani. I guess Colin shindler doing the screenplay slipped that in

Who was that character on Hollyoaks years ago that was a massive city fan? Anyway, I met him in a pub toilet in Liverpool and I made some drunken City comment. Before he walks out he turns and says 'na mate. Don't even like football.' The bloody norbit.

Typical of Shindler to refer to a City defeat.

Not a tv show, but a film made for channel four. Shooting Stars, some great scenes at Maine road, and the city centre in 1990. The scene in the chairman’s office, was shot during a live game, and City score while it’s being filmed, so the crowd reaction was real. My mate Frank plays the young kid in it, did pretty well out of it haha.

In Yesterday's Hero, a shit film about an alcoholic footballer played by the rag Ian McShane (loosely modelled on a liver thief), some of the match scenes were filmed at HT in the Ipswich v City match from 78/79 season and about 40 mins in you can see the City scarves in the away section.
It was the match where Barry Silkman scored a screamer on his debut, we lost 2-1. Me and a fair few of the FOCs off here would have been in that section.

Silkman in his silly little socks.
I had a bad gut all the way home. Blamed it on Tolly Cobbold beer. Cobbled was the Ipswich chairman. I think it was after that match that Asa Hartford and Willie Donachie had a BBC reporter running up and down the train to fetch their huge amount of Harp Lager from the buffet.
John Motson was in First Class after covering the match and in the buffet had an awful snobbish attitude towards the BBC North West reporter.

Eugene in Cutting It always wore a City shirt as did Young Kenny in Phoenix Nights.
