Re: City owner and council to build 6,000 new homes in £1bn
It wasn't just City who hit the jackpot when Sheikh Mansour and his business partners bought the club. Manchester is very lucky indeed that ADUG look to have chosen Manchester as their European base with City right at the heart of it. The area around the stadium and leading to the city centre will be transformed beyond recognition within 10 years to 15 years, and thousands of homes and jobs will be created. This investment will attract other large scale investment with hotels, offices, retail, and leisure facilities. I think the area around City's ground will merge to be part of the city centre, and I still believe there will be something very special built on the collar site next to the stadium.
Very exciting times ahead for both the club and this part of Manchester, and other parts of Manchester like the airport.
