Players generally earn alot more now, transfer fees are also alot higher now. I wouldn't be surprised of they get around 10-20% of the deals. All renewals etc are all done by the agent. They get paid probably the same amount. It's strange isn't it.
Whilst Masters and the PL are constantly pushing for FFP and PSR savings. And the PL clubs are constantly reminding us of the increase in costs of running a PL club, hence the increases in season ticket and match day ticket prices almost every season, in the last 2 financial years the PL clubs have paid out £820mill in player agent fees.
Furthermore.
The Premier League's agent spending had ballooned from £272.6m (2021-22) to £318.2m (2022-23) and up to £409.6m (2023-24). Those were big consecutive leaps north but a very small reduction to £409m this season would suggest limits have been reached.
Where? A Haaland extension means we are the second biggest spenders?Well they have you're choosing to take no notice of those that have put some logic to you.
It will be a big part of it ,yes.Where? A Haaland extension means we are the second biggest spenders?
Then it is even madder than I first thoughtIt will be a big part of it ,yes.
Why, in what way are you able to understand how a 9 year contract would work, regards agent payments. Then it is even madder than I first thought

Don't see how the 2 are connected. It costs what it costs to run a succeful club. Players staff tranfers stadiun cost, agents it all costs 100s of millions. Whether matchdat tickets should be £10/£20 cheaper is peanuts and nothing to do with waht agents costPeople are not querying that they are querying how much it costs while fans get their trousers pulled down. The clubs priorities are warped.
Yeah, as the other poster said it is a stupid high amount given the circumstances of limited recruitment and mostly unknowns. That then means a whopping amount would go to an agent to be involved in a renewal, not even the efforts of a new club but a renewal at a current club. I find it mad and I do not know how that contract would work and if length is even included in the calculations. Why, in what way are you able to understand how a 9 year contract would work, regards agent payments.

Do we pay over the odds, what are the odds on agents for transfers and renewals? Why are we voliunteering to pay over the odds? Here we go again, it's not about success when fans are priced out. We pay over and above the odds to agents and let fans pay for it. Nobody is disputing the two are connected people are disputing that the costs are carried by the fans.
Again, it's not a difficult concept to get your head around, if you price fans out and add all the bells and whistles when they can't afford to witness it then how is that a good thing and why should they support it?
We are getting worse than the rags were are and people are still supporting the club like Turkeys salivating over Christmas.
Spending the second most during a period of degression, without buying a name during that period would suggest we are paying a lot. I don't think we are volunteering for it but we have been known to not be the best negotiators at times in other areas.Do we pay over the odds, what are the odds on agents for transfers and renewals? No idea so I don”t make judgements on things I don’t know enough about. For all I know we have got a bargain saving on replacing Haalan anytime sioon. Again I have no idea so not jumping to conclusionsI don't know do you? Whilst the clubs ask the fans for more and more they appear to be paying more and more to wealthy people.
Seems about right doesn't it?
In general sense - A football clubs income comes from Sponsors, TV revenue & fans (local and global) - they are the customers. Unfortunately for us that is just the dynamics of the business. Unless they can convince others to pay more ie sponsors,TV or owner investment (which is banned) - it then also means fans still have to pay the price. Here we go again, it's not about success when fans are priced out.
