City players (past and present) who are hated

I find some of these hated personalities in football are worshipped by the fans of whichever Club they're employed by. i.e. Bellamy (puts a shift in every match he plays) or Neil Warnock as a Manager for his passion.

Barton has got to be the most controversial player we've churned out. I still firmly believe our Premiership win was so much sweeter because he got sent off and faced the wrath of his team mates afterwards. They may well have held on to a 2-1 win or 2-2 draw had he not been red carded. Results elsewhere obviously helped them stay up but that's not the point.

I think 'hate' is too strong a word, but in terms of shagging around, thumping women, killing people when driving etc etc we've not had too many of them!
killing people when driving?.....

I believe Mad Eyed Screamer is referring to Lee Hughes.

My tuppence worth, it would have to be Ben Thatcher.

Of all the 'past' players at City, and hated at City, it has to be the arsehole that is Danny Mills. For someone who took so much from the club and gave so little in return he shows no gratitude whatsoever and takes every opportunity to slag us off. His latest "Van Persie should join Man Utd" is typical of his attitude towards City, albeit I personally hope Van Persie goes anywhere but to us, and then returns to his normal 25 games per season injured.

I believe most city fans don't like danny mills, ben thatcher, perhaps sturridge, barton, stephen ireland?, wayne bridge?, could include tevez for his antics but atleast he backs himself with good performances.

I'll throw in a Manager for good measure...
Mark Hughes. Completely over rated, talentless, egotistical arsehole who brought a raft of over priced, over paid crap footballers to our club (with the notable exception of VK). Worked the press against the club who were paying his wages and couldn't set up a team to defend to save his life. To briefly summarise: a horrible, self opinionated, conceited wanker. I hated him when he came to our club, when he was at our club and now he has left our club.

Stuart lee
Terry Park
Jim Tolmie
Danny Mills
Margaret Thatcher
Barry Silkman
Ike Immel - the boss eyed German Keeper
Sammy McIlroy
Georgie Sameras
Bob Taylor
Rick Holden

Just to name a few

Only Kompany? I'd throw Zabaleta, Lescott, Barry, De Jong and Tevez in there too. All superb players who have played their part in our title win.

He also did an excellent job for Blackburn (never replaced despite numerous attempts) and will do well at QPR once his team and ideas are in place. He evidently wasn't experienced enough to meet our requirements but that wasn't his fault considering we were taken over so soon after his appointment.

Mark Hughes isn't hated by one and all. He's hated by Blues who couldn't stomach the fact an ex-U****d player was managing us. I'll never forget knowing a Blue who burst out laughing when we lost matches because he believed it'd bring Hughes' reign to an end.
