Fantastic. How will we know what is being said?
Manchester City fans making their way to the Etihad Stadium on matchdays may be in for a surprise as several of the club's stars and manager Roberto Mancini will be announcing some of the tram stops en route.
The Metrolink's East Manchester Line to Droylsden, which visits the Etihad Campus, was opened on Monday.
And the club worked with Transport for Greater Manchester to have some familiar voices announce certain stops.
Starting with this Sunday’s FA Cup tie against Leeds United, fans may hear club skipper Vincent Kompany announce: "Hello, this is your captain speaking, Vincent Komany. This is a Bury service. The next stop is Piccadilly."
England goalkeeper Joe Hart is another to lend his voice: “This is Joe Hart from Manchester City. This is the Bury Service. The next stop is Holt Town."
Fellow international James Milner will tell passengers: "This is James Milner from Manchester City. This is a Droylsden service. The next stop is New Islington."
But - at the risk of poking fun at a man's accent - most hilarious of all is Mancini, who states: "This is Roberto Mancini from Manchester City. This is the Droylsden service. The next stop will be the Etihad Campus."
The new line offers direct access to the Etihad Stadium and its facilities via a walkway. It currently terminates at Droylsden, with Ashton-under-Lyne intended as its final stop once work is complete in the winter of 2013.
Steve Sayer, director of operations for Manchester City, said: "The new Metrolink service will greatly improve access to the Etihad Stadium for supporters on match days and other visitors to the Etihad Campus during the week.
"It’s a nice touch for the fans that some of our star players and manager will announce on the way to our home stadium to get everyone in the mood for the match.
“We are grateful to Roberto, Joe, Vincent and James for taking time out of their busy schedules to record these messages."
The Etihad Campus stop is the third stop from central station Manchester Piccadilly.
