"Hardest man to ever play for City"
Modern day AJ & MJ - what a waste of talent if true.
I think Roy Paul was the player who used to go into the Lord Lion before a game and sup 4 pints.

Which Gary James book is it that mentions the bar that was just inside the tunnel at Maine Road - at least until the mid 70s - where players could pop and pull a pint when the trainer was on?

Michael Brown - used to go in the Red Lion in Cheadle quite a lot.
Brownie was ok. Him and Whitley used to go in the Red and they used to have that lad from Bread dj-ing - Billy Boswell? - who was/is a big City fan too.peoffrey said:strongbowholic said:Nicky Weaver - Governor's House pub in Cheadle Hulme/Bramhall was a haunt of his where he would get smashed out of his skull and say endearing stuff like "do you know who I am?"

I've heard about Weaver in Cheadle Hulme from my friend who lives that way and also Brown was notorious. Proper Scally.
