I've been collecting City programmes for well over 30 years and ...ever since my cousin, Former Blue Mick McCarthy started sending me the programmes after he joined City in 1983. I am not a dealer or an expert but simply an avid City collector.

Feel free to join our Facebook page which now has over 1500 members to buy, sell, exchange, swap or simply show us your City collections or favourite match day programmes.

If you have a programme missing from your collection or looking for a programme with meaningful date then feel free to ask in here.

We have weekly quizzes and nostalgia from City games from days gone by also.

Cheers

It's great! Love going on it. Got me back on Facebook after 5 years. Some great blues on there and got some good items through it.

Keep up the good work mark.

Out of curiosity, what is the oldest City home programme still in existence?

I bought the first one from Maine road recently and bid on one from Hyde road v Charlton a few weeks ago. Lost out but I think it went for 360 pound but was in very poor condition. Karl from Mary ds who is our programme seller in there says he has never seen one from Hyde road. Mark (Colin bell) who runs the site is the lad off here who went a year off the booze to raise money for meningitis. Some good blues on the pages and great for swapping or purchasing your needs.

I used to collect, but then sold to make some space, (which I now bitterly regret)

Heard of people selling collections all the time and living to regret it. Maybe a good place to start again. Quite a few sell collections on there from time to time.

City's first official "City Programme" started in 1899-1900. The oldest one I have an image of is from Oct 1906 and is Volume 7 (Volume 1 would be 1899-1900 - City's first ever season in the top flight, Division One - maybe they felt it was worth producing our own programme then?). Before 1899, City had a joint "Official Programme". A full season's worth survives for 1898-99 season and I've gone through them all, using some material in my books over the years. It was a combined effort between MCFC, Newton Heath, Broughton Rangers and Salford.

The oldest City produced programme I've read/seen was for a game in 1904. Occasionally, copies from Hyde Road come up at auction, but they are always expensive.
