He is earning 32k per week and laughing all the way to the bank.

Not altogether correct. Hughes' maternal grandmother was called Myfanwy Bellamy. She played right back for Blaenau Ffestiniog Railway, and it was her dying wish that her little grandson Craig would play for somebody slightly better than the Railway team but not as good as Nottingham Forest.
