As I recall this song was sung long before Big Niall arrived. First time I heard it was circa 1984/85 at the Isle of Man tournament. It was sung about big Alan Potter's bright green strides by a group of lads which included someone called Taffy. I was only 14 but I remember it like yesterday.

There's a crack up in the ceiling and the Stretford end is leaking, pulling in no money cos the football's pretty crummy, what are we living for? to see un--ed in division four Dead-end Street! (Kinks)

In the 1968/69 season we all used to sing 'bring on the champions' just before the mighty blues took to the pitch. I really liked that song and have missed us not singing it. Maybe one day we might be able to bring it back.

I used to like the Terry Cooke song. Then I grew up. With hindsight my dad should have battered me for singing that.

any song that even the players sang in the wembley dressing room is ok with me !!
