Rangers

Celtic

Rangers

Celtic

Etc

(sung on the kippax in the 70s when things had gone quiet to get the noise going again)

Remember that but never got why it was sung
I think it was a bit of in 'in' thing to do, a fad. Now the world has cottoned on that both Celtic and Rangers are absolute scum and wouldn't be caught dead changing either name, ever!

it was on the banks of the mersey, when some serious fighting begun, there were 200 man city, walking down the anfield rd.We were met by 5000 scousers, stanley knives coming out of their pockets, and i saw a city fan with a blue scarf, getting slashed accross his face and his kneck. As he lay on the ground he was dying, dying dying, with the blood gushing out of his head,as he looked up too his colleagues, and these were the last words he said. So who are we,we"re city,we come from the kippax st,we"ve won the league,we"ve won the cup,and been to europe too,and won! we knicked it off the scouserslate 70"s.lol!

There was one in the early 70`s I think it was.
At the time it was sung in every football ground and aimed at the coppers.
One of theirs was murdered and in those days that was not common place, but I can`t remember the words, but it actually had the killers name chanted and I`m certain it ended with
"he hates coppers"
Not very pc I know, but at the time anything went !

"Harry Roberts is our friend,he kills coppers"!!!!!
(he actually murdered 3 coppers in 1966 -and he is still in prison almost 50 years later).
Edit- Sung to the tune of London Bridge is Falling Down.

Thats it mate.Well done and yes it really was a poor taste song, but every ground in the league were using it.Somehow I don`t think it would be used nowadays.

Everybody used to whistle the Laurel and Hardy tune when a line of police walked past, which was quite funny at the time.

United, United, ha ha ha!

not heard of this one before!...i quite like it. sort of.

As I was walking down the Claremont road......

They say that old trafford's a wonderful place......

Super mark Kennedy..... haha. Always makes me smile now thinking about singing this. Speaking of the bad old days does anyone remember singing 'sit down if you love City' outside of Maine Road after another piss poor game in the late 90's?
