City Square Prices

£3.60 a pint is bad enough .... but when the pints John Smiths!!! , cant City do a tie up with Boddingtons then i'd probably have a couple - even if thats still £1.30 more than i usually pay

Thought Boddies had been boycotted in Manchester after the brewery was closed and production moved to Wales and Scotland?

Could you imagine the uproar if a Manchester club, sorry THE Manchester club, started to sell Boddies after what happened! Add that to the North Stand relocation/ticket office disruptions etc. and there'd be a revolution!

The way prices are going you will soon be expected to be in an income bracket that suggest you would only be drinking fine wines and vintage champagne to swill down your pre-match truffles and foie gras.
So make the most of the lower class fare being offered whilst you can ;-)

They also sell heineken for the same price as fosters i think. For me I like to go in there because although its slightly dearer its a good atmosphere in there and right next to the ground. Its not too much dearer and i hate mary d's so i won't go in there. The queues can look big but they go down really quickly both to get in and at the bar

Heineken is four English pounds I seem to remember.

A little ditty to Cigarettes and alcohol/Oasis...[Based on MCFC catering dept]

Is it my imagination
Or have I finally found a pie worth queuing for for
Hunger pangs, caused my attraction
But all I found was burnt pies and flat alcohol

It seems i queued for a lifetime
To spend six quid on pie n' pint - halftime
Stale beer still stuck in the pipeline
I nearly blew my top . . .
How can they let this happen?

Wasn't worth the aggravation
To find my hotdog came without the onions that i was asking for
Its a crazy situation
But all I need is half time pie and alcohol

Seems like i queued for a lifetime
To spend three quid on a burnt pie
You might as well do the white wine
Cos when beer comes on tap
Beware that its a crap un ...

The price of lager between City Square and Mary D's is negligable - approx 30p per pint! Even if you sink 10 pints(!) its only £3 different. As for the lager, its Fosters in CS or Carling in Mary's - is there any real difference between the 2? They are both cooking lagers anyway!
I go for Mary D's cos of the atmos.
Too quiet at CS everyone just gawping at the over-loud TV's, no singing etc...
