City store-good overall but very poor in one area

There were piles of copies of Gary's book last Wednesday before Arsenal, on one of the tables fairly close to the entrance. Where'd they go?

I hope they've sold. That'd be pretty good news if they have. If anyone from City's reading... the publisher can deliver more if you want.

Are we sure that stocks aren't just running a bit low this close to Christmas (although they shouldn't obviously). Couple of years ago I wanted to get the framed picture of Nedum that the club did for my then Girlfriend for Christmas, try as I might I couldn't get hold of one as they simply just sold out.

Don't think so, no. This season, stuff has been constantly "sold out" - my husband ordered the away shirt for my birthday (Sept) and finally got it in time to give me for Christmas! It's not just ladies' stuff either - they really don't seem to have got their ordering right in any area.

Hmm...and this was a part of the club that seemed to be getting better & better in recent years. Granted since trying to get that picture during Christmas 2007 I haven't bothered with the shop at all.

Well we all know Cookie read's the forum so come on Sir. This it would seem needs looking into.

I hope so Gary, it's a fine piece of work. Just a shame they didn't get it into the new catalogue.

On the Wednesday they had a decent selection of books - Gary's, the Corrigan and Bell books, and the Cheeseman thing. I noticed a few are out of stock on the website, so perhaps stock is the issue.

Thanks for the comment. Very much appreciated. The publishers have just taken out a full page advert in When Saturday Comes for this and my biog of Joe Mercer so demand will increase over the next month or so. Some stores, like WHSmith in the Arndale had refused to stock it saying books on City don't sell. Then last Friday we got a call asking for 24 copies, so even they've seen the demand.

My publishers only have 300 copies left at the distribution centre, so thanks to all those who have bought it so far.
