City Title Favourites

Amazing !!

The poorest, laziest leaderless squad we've had since 2011.

Pep may be good but he's not a magician.
Bookies and media. Not just City fans saying that.

Hart, Kompany, Otamendi, De Bruyne, Gundogan, Silva, Aguero. And quite a few more. Hardly poor! Last season we had a double whammy of an injury nightmare and a manager in limbo. The squad needs some fresh blood in the full back positions, but I am sure that will be addressed

God knows why Chelsea are 4th. Getting a good manager with a team that won the league a whole season ago. They were throwing their toys out under Mourinho, they didn't get shit.

I seem to remember this happens each year.

The media generally does its best to rubbish City and their chances from the onset whereas the bookies who take cash from supporters of all Clubs (including LFC and MUFC) have a business to run so reflect the true picture of cash they receive and where it is placed.

The betting arm of Sky says one thing but the so called pundits on Sky Sport will sell their TV network to the spread of supporters that pay their subs. to Sky.

Loads said last season that if it hadn't been for Pellers and our injuries, we'd have walked the league

Well 1 has gone and the other hopefully gone... So why not ?

Don't underestimate the situation with an increasing number of our players. Injuries, age, hunger, ambition.

The core of arguably our best ever team, excluding Joe,is past its best for a variety of known reasons.

Champions next season AS THINGS STAND CURRENTLY is a pipe dream !!

At this stage of the season everything is a pipe dream-

The next stage will be the pre season friendlies then we can watch how MUFC have suddenly become world beaters and will have no difficulty winning the title. Unfortunately for them this super hype in what is effectively fantasy football time is what sells for the media-

The reality of PL and CL football will then find out who will do what. Lets hope the squad can overcome their age tags and be tactically alert to any of the shortcomings last season brought.

Anyone think there's a chance of Leicester getting relegated? Can their players ever hit those heights again AND they add players without upsetting the balance AND they hang onto their best players??

Season not even started and people are conceding the title. Let's have a bit of optimism hey?

What's the point of looking at the odds at this stage of the summer? Basically you're just betting on who will have the best summer re: transfers

Hart 29, Zabaleta 31, Clichy 30, Kompany 30, Otamendi 28, Gundogan 25, Silva 30, De Bryne 24, Aguero 28, Sterling 21, Navas 30

This is the core of our squad. There is possibly one player there who is past their best and that is Zabaleta. One player is off form: Sterling.

That squad is outstanding. City had the worst injury record in the Premiership last season and had a coach who everyone knew well before it was announced was leaving. Those are the two major reasons that the squad underachieved. The odds on that happening again must be miniscule.

The new season is just 7 weeks away. I don't think there will be massive changes in the line ups of our rivals.

Arsenal have added Xhaka to a squad who had their best ever chance of winning the league last season and they didn't come close. They are probably thestrongest of our rivals and that says it all. Their manager clings on to his job by his finger-nails, and key players like Sanchez and Ozil look tired with it all.

Chelsea have a massive job. They are in transition. I like their new manager very much, but they will do well just to reach the top 4. Terry and Ivanovic are finished. Hazrd and Costa don't seem to be the same players.

Liverpool have a good manager and a team who aren't in the Champions League. Their players seem to have bought into their new managers ideas, and they too had an injury nightmare losing their best players to injury like Sturridge and Ings. I think they will be top 4 next season, but I can't see them as title contenders.

Spurs: Had a fantastic season, but Kane looks like he has hit a brick wall. They played to their mex last season. I think they will challenge for the top 4 but I can't see them pushing on. They will have Champions League football to contend with.

Leicester will struggle next season because every team will raise their game against them and will know exactly what to expect from them.

Who else is there? Utd have a manager who is now tainted and who have an immense re-building job. They don't even have a centre-forward unless you count Rashford who is the latest untalented player to be ridiculously over-hyped. Their midfield is a car-crash.
