Out of interest, when you buy your ticket several days/weeks in advance, how do you reliably know whether it’s going to rain or not?
Errr - the stadium is in Manchester.

Fuck me do you just moan about City??It’s their own fault!
City moved everyone out of the North Stand to create the failure that has been the Family Stand and they pissed fans off by moving them to more expensive seats or not moving them with friends+family they had sat with in the North, in some cases could not provide them with a new seat at all because there weren’t enough spare. They lost the match going support of a number of fans by doing these things.
City put prices up too high too soon and pissed people off or priced them out. They lost the match going support of a number of fans by doing this.
City put SeasonCard prices up too high so fans took themselves out of the Cup Schemes. They lost the Cup match going support of a number of fans by doing this.
City put SeasonCard prices up too high so fans think they can pick and choose games to go to so they can afford the day out more, less often.
City introduced cheap tickets after people had already decided to quit their support because of being priced out. City introduced cheap tickets but not enough to meet demand. They are not maximising matchday attendances by not providing enough cheap tickets. At Bayern they have 12000 cheap SeasonCards, how many do you reckon we have? A few dozen? A few hundred at most?
City moved people out of particular areas of the ground to create corporate areas and they pissed fans off by moving them to more expensive seats or not moving them with friends+family they had sat with, in some cases could not provide them with a new seat at all because there weren’t enough spare. They lost the match going support of a number of fans by doing these things.
They price Cup tickets too high. My ticket for Liverpool was £45, I know four SC holdes who didn’t bother going because of the price. It was only a quarter final, not a semi, there was no need for that price!
Agree with this. Our fans' age-profile ( I am one of the old gits) is a factor. I have missed a few games due to health reasons in recent years and so have some of my pals. It's not just a season ticket price issue because most of the few empty seats are season ticket non-attenders. I think general admission should certainly be cheaper for younger fans. The TV deal should have a clause which forces all clubs to provide cheaper tickets. The money could be ringfenced and kept as low as £10 for under 25s.
Until there is a total rethink on season ticket and matchday ticket prices at City, the stadium will never be full apart from the big matches. And even those matches aren't always full, even though they are sold out on the OS.
Unfortunately our sensible and justified complaints, or is 'concerns' a better word, are falling on deaf ears. Season after season we discuss and post about the same things. But season after season they are ignored by City and the opposite happens in the name of driving matchday revenue.
Only once since Sheikh Mansour bought City have season ticket and matchday tickets been frozen. 8 or 9 price rises. I stand corrected on that. Then block and row pricing was introduced. And fans have been moved here there and everywhere to accommodate new corporate areas and fans.
OK, City have introduced limited cheap season tickets. And have sold cheap tickets to fill the Etihad for certain cup games.
Honestly though, wouldn't it be great if City reviewed all season ticket and matchday ticket prices. Froze them, or even better reduced them to an all around affordable level. Now all the corporate areas are finished, it would be good if the fans were left alone, and were allowed to stay in the areas of the stadium they want to stay in, so they can build up friendships with other City fans around them. That improves the atmosphere as well.
Let's have a period in the clubs history where the fans are put first, instead of driving stadium and matchday revenue, which has been put first over the fans for the last few years. With TV and sponsorship money piling in, asking the fans to dip deeper again into their pockets shouldn't be a consideration in the coming years, let alone done.
Please!
No, I moan about the prices of gig tickets in the music industry n’allFuck me do you just moan about City??

Erm I dont, particularly when it comes down sidewards. Its a gamble as to where the seat is and which way the wind is blowing. Sometimes I cant be arsed if the weather is bad even if I have bought a ticket. I see it as a donation to the cause. My age and other interests make me a fair weather fan.Out of interest, when you buy your ticket several days/weeks in advance, how do you reliably know whether it’s going to rain or not?
We should be forcing season ticket holders to attend - if you can't go, you must post your ticket for resale. (There will always be emergencies - those can be dealt with)
How about split season tickets - a premium for the top 6 games and a cheap seat for the remainder. Let the glory hunters go to the "good" games and a real fan have the benefit of a cheap seat for the remainder.
