City, Toon and Huddersfield still unbeaten in the league....

It's simple. Huddersfield town are unbeaten in 41 league games. It's a fact. There is absolutely no disputing that fact. It's undeniable. If you care to list the last 41 league games, you will find they haven't lost any of them.

You can cheapen it all you like by saying that they lost in an important playoff game, but that's irrelevant. It's the playoffs, which is a knock-out competition to win promotion for finishing 3-6th after X league games. They were only entered into the playoff competition because (a) they didn't win enough league games to finish second (b) they didn't draw enough league games to finish below 6th.

If (b) was satisfied they would not have had to play the playoffs and their record would be intact. Are you saying that a team who draws 41 successive games isn't allowed to claim to be unbeaten for 41 successive games because they haven't won any?

If they reach 50 games unbeaten I'd certainly cheapen it by pointing out that it's not in the top flight, but that's Arsenal's beef.

nope.

playoffs are part of the league in my eyes therefore they lost.

it's like Chelsea tried to claim an unbeaten home record under Mourinho despite losing to Charlton on penalties in the Carling Cup, they lost, end of imo.

as much as i would like them to break the record, i just car'nt see them
getting anything at charlton ( 28th nov ) just checked fixtures to see
if they had any chance

Oh you and YOUR rules...

I don't think Lee Clark and the rest of HTFC really care about what you think, it's what the official records show so there's little credible argument against it.

If you can't see the difference between "League" games and "Play off" games then you're just being stubborn and obtuse.

i don't really care what "they" think either, people who pick and choose games to suit their "record" sum themselves up perfectly, exactly the mentality that cost them the play-off.

most important league game of their season last campaign and they lost, ooo let's pretend it didn't happen eh?

so on that basis, why aren't they in the championship? oops...
