It's simple. Huddersfield town are unbeaten in 41 league games. It's a fact. There is absolutely no disputing that fact. It's undeniable. If you care to list the last 41 league games, you will find they haven't lost any of them.
You can cheapen it all you like by saying that they lost in an important playoff game, but that's irrelevant. It's the playoffs, which is a knock-out competition to win promotion for finishing 3-6th after X league games. They were only entered into the playoff competition because (a) they didn't win enough league games to finish second (b) they didn't draw enough league games to finish below 6th.
If (b) was satisfied they would not have had to play the playoffs and their record would be intact. Are you saying that a team who draws 41 successive games isn't allowed to claim to be unbeaten for 41 successive games because they haven't won any?
If they reach 50 games unbeaten I'd certainly cheapen it by pointing out that it's not in the top flight, but that's Arsenal's beef.
