City Treble documentary | Club sell rights to Netflix for seven figure sum | To be aired in April (p5)

Nothing ground breaking, I actually prefer the Sunderland till I die series, but have found it to be an enjoyable watch.

The series brought home to me, even more, how much Gundogan and Mahrez stood up to be counted when things weren't going so well either in goals or assists. I was never a big fan of Mahrez's all round game notwithstanding his sublime control but, by God, if the game is about "moments", then he delivered. Now is the time for one or two of the current incumbents to do the same.

Half way through episode 3.

Rodri and Gundogan will go onto be coaches/managers at a high level. I’ve no doubt about that.

Pep now gets us. It took him a while but he genuinely loves the club. Like us he doesn't know why but he does lol. There's something about it, which is why we stuck with it in the dark times. It's why lots of ex players still have affection for the club years later, even if they were only here a short while. I think the shit we've had to.put up with has helped, he's a Catalan after all.

The penny definitely dropped for him with those charges. He's grown up being a fan and then playing and managing an elite European team. Whilst they've got a more successful rival, they've been top of the tree plenty of times. Similarly at Bayern. He came to City and probably didn't for a moment understand why we booed the anthem and weren't too fussed about the CL. And then the PL dropped the charges and he finally got it, understood the corruption and cartel in football and what we're having to deal with from where we came from and above all he's the most competitive person in the world and will want to beat anyone and anything. The more they come at us the more he wants to stay and defend us now and he's bonded with us for life.

Just finished it. Quite emotional and great to think I was at all the big matches seeing it happen live. Having seen and experienced how much it meant to everyone associated with the club and the fans I can’t wait to see the Liverpool version if it means more.
