City U18s v WHU, 10th May, winners. Congratulations, 3rd year in a row.

Fantastic result for the blue boys and the academy coaching staff. Unrivalled.
Our academy currently deserves some national recognition for breaking these records consistently.
Deserved better in FA youth Cup semi against an Arsenal side West Ham murdered in the final but were hamstrung by a shit red card decision 5 minutes in.
It was a very harsh call by the ref so early in the game (the Arsenal lad made a meal of it) ….bit of levelling up I suppose and we nearly did them with 10 men.

I counted the stats the other day on the ofc website. Of the 22 names , I think 18 were mancs and surrounding areas. Similar with u21's, I think.
That’s really impressive. what a well-run club.
And those fuckers at Old Trafford still bang on about having a youth product in the side for the past 75 years..as if that matters.
Christ, they even bought Duncan Edwards from Wolves !

Arsenal diving and cheating eh! Wilshire passing on all his experience. The force is strong in those Padawans.

Yesterday's game was a tough one, with both teams struggling to probe beyond midfield and both keepers working their socks off. A slog of extra time and narrow margins, inspired by City's use of subs (especially our number 15), and the finishing of Oboavwoduo helped. Congratulations. Good luck to those eligible for loans, EDS and bridging the gap to the senior squad. For great players pathways to league clubs, CFG clubs and possibly the first team are clear. That bridge from the academy was built for a reason. Tough ask, but possible.

Thats the way its going to be from now on.
Restrictions on youngsters outside the UK mean that we have to source local talent.
As our club are leading the way at underage levels, these restrictions will be to our advantage.

Very impressive set of youngsters. The problem is fitting them into the next level, even though the vast majority are U-18 next season. Can't wait to see next years scholars, should be announced anytime soon.
I think next year's scholars will come from most of those who played in the U16 Cup final recently. Matty Henderson-Hall, Rhys Thomas, Stephen Mfuni, Kian Noble, Femi Fapetu, Brooklyn Nfunku, Jack & Tyler Fletcher, Daniel Batty, Christian Dunbar-Macdonald. Can't remember the goalies name.
