City U18s v WHU, 10th May, winners. Congratulations, 3rd year in a row.

The Premier League need to raise the profile of their youth and academy leagues. Also, for many City U18s, this could be the taste that wets their appetite for bigger things. Like the FA Youth Cup finals, it is a big opportunity.

Sorry: “whets” — yours, the grammar policeman

(as in a whetstone, for sharpening blades, scythes etc.)

Thank you kindly. I truly didn't know that. Never say sorry, when developing others. Everyfing is good. Your interjection is appreciated. Now, I worry about my other posts...

You were thinking about Don Fanucci talking to Vito about “wetting his beak”

It's important Joel Ndala is fit & available. He went off injured at HT in the penultimate game against Sunderland & wasn't involved in the last game. It looks like we will already be without Wittingham, Katongo & Lawrence.

His season is over unfortunately due to his knee injury sustained in that game.

Looking forward to this tonight. Two brilliant teams who should provide a footballing treat.

On City + for those without tickets.
