What a win, I was really happy for Weiss and Bellamy was amazing tonight and it was nice to see Weiss showing him respect and thanking him for setting him up.
On the topic of respect, I think Arsene Wenger needs at least an ounce of it as much as he needs to get a pair of glasses. Tonight my views of Arsne Wenger, which were already a little fragile since our last meeting with them, totally nosedived and I have no time for him anymore.
Also Wright Phillips did really good tonight and I think he deserved Man of the Match, saying that though there were a few others who equally deserved it, Bellamy being an obvious candidate. I think Stephen Ireland had a very good night too, it is great to see him getting back on form, from his goal against Liverpool and his performance tonight I think we're starting to see Superman shine through again.
As Hughes said the defence tonight played really well too, I think our team all around was strong and played well tonight, I'm happy anyway.
I'm not sure how I feel about having to play the rags though, I'm going to love it if we slaughter them in both legs. We'll also see if Bacon Face sticks to his word of playing his youngsters, knowing him he'll stick one or two youngsters in and get around saying he isn't a liar. My worry is if we beat them at City of Manchester Stadium he'll play his full team and go all out at The Swamp. I just hate the rags and I get a terrible feeling of nervousness during the week building up to the derby. The last derby made that even worse as I remember feeling the nervousness, then the joy at the last minute only to have it taken and feel cheated and just angry in general. Hopfully this time we'll slaughter them in both legs and I don't care if it's their full team or youngsters, if we're slaughtering them obviously if they played their full team it would be brilliant as they couldn't get out saying "we were only playing our youngsters."
Very happy with tonight's performance and yeah, Hughes sounds confident so I'll trust him and follow his words of "Bring it on!"
