City v Arsenal post match thread

I thought you'd stuff us because we had no defence, and have not had many pre-season games (our fault).

You deserved to win. Hope Gabriel is OK.

Regarding City, it was last season't team minus central defenders. Sane, Gundogan injured. Jesus to join in Janaury. And of course it's all change with a new manager. Expecting the finish product in pre-season would be insane, nevertheless we all look for it

Only the idiots do.....but we all know who they are.

On the bright side - Even though the defence was a total shambles we should have got something out of that game as YaYa and Navas missed two open goals!
Ya ya open goal?
Czech made a good save from a shot on target
Navas maybe should have done better

The shit that gets written on here ffs !

Grow the fuck up

We have the best coach in the world but he's not a fucking magician. It's going to take a little time to get the team playing as he wants. We may well lose some games we don't expect but in the long run it will be worth it.

Buckle up and enjoy the ride and ffs quit the moaning and making like you know better than Pep

What is it with some people and this p'ep is god and must never be questioned' attitude?

Obviously he needs time to mould his team. However some of the decisions the club and Pep have taken in pre season do seem worthy of debate on a football forum?

A perspective from a Gooner

i thought you'd probably stuff us today, but we did play some typically nice football at times.

Yet again we are pretty much inactive in the transfer market desperately needing a striker and not just one centre back but probably two now though after Gabriel's injury

With us its always one step forward two steps back......I despair... I really do

As for the game, nice to win but matters not a jot with both coaches using it as a chance to test the full squad

As to the season ahead, I'm not that sure that any team has been impressive, despite even Liverpool's defeat over a Barcelona some way from the start of their season

i wish we had Aguero. I think we'd win the league with him. Great player and someone whose movement is a joy to watch. Im not going to say much about City but I think he best days of some of your older players are likely behind them.

From my perspective, it's great to see Cazorla back. He's class and a game changer. Even Theo seems to have been eating his shredded wheat this week.

I like Iwobi's commitment, strength and ability and I hope he does well this season.

But, my God, we are in desperate need of centre backs.

Prediction for the season at this stage? No idea, but I reckon we are still good for a top 4 finish. Im not sure we can win.

Didn't see anything today from City that would make them favourites for the league but they'll be there or thereabouts.

As to the other teams, I really don't see any one stand out. Another surprise? Maybe Stoke?

Who knows? What I do know is that these pre season friendly games are very much the phoney war. I wouldn't spend too much time dwelling on them

Nice post. Dont know what it is about our two clubs and injuries. Hope for your sake Gabriel's is not too serious.

Maybe the surprise could be Leicester giving a better defence of their title than everyone is predicting? Especially if they can hang on to Mahrez which now looks likely. They looked pretty good in the Community Shield today and only lost to a goal that looked offside to me.

Seen a fantastic defender playing for Utd today..apparently we turned our noses up at him twice? Reminds me a lot of Vincent kompany.

Today Pep must have learnt a lot about the players. Surely Kolarov Fernando are not that versatile he was trying them in new positions for that reason, they both need to go and we need TWO Centre backs. Mangala is all but gone and Denayer will most likely be sold. Kompany otamendi plus a couple more.

Positives were Sterling Nolito Delph and Navas who needs to stay.
