The best keeper in the prem over the last 4 seasons. Would be crazy to let go a top homegrown player who loves the club. Ok hes not exactly zidane with the ball at his feet but we should adapt our tactics slightly to suit
I agree with the sentiment but I don't think it will work if we try to. I think he has to do it if he's to keep his place.

It's weird how anybody would think people are basing their opinions on Hart because of a poor euros. I doubt one single person who thinks his place is under threat does so because of what he's done on an England shirt.
He's saved us plenty of times.
The weaker the defence, the more exposed a keeper will be, and the more mistakes he'll be accountable for.
Joe's not perfect, but I don't believe he's anywhere near our weakest link.

I completely agree but virtually none of our signings baring Gudongan re going to have an immediate impact

Moreno Sane - all 4 could take a while to settle and all are young.
If we get stones then he will be an immediate improvement
Nolito is neither here nor there for me -average and will be a squad player.
I too think we should have been trying to make an immediate impact but it looks like from our transfer business at present that isn't the plan (which is a mistake in my mind)

Im just confussed why txiki didnt have things more sorted for peps arrival. Signing players that can play his way over the last couple of seasons?
He might not be the weakest link but going forward if he shows no sign of improvement he will be a weak link. Within minutes of coming on today he just walloped the ball out of touch. It's not gonna fly this season doing that.He's saved us plenty of times.

Sane will surprise a few i believe.
Angelino has matured and looks a proper pep player-personally very excited to watch the way we are trying to play. People will need to be patient but there are so many positives from today-we hardly pressed like that at all last season, let alone pre-season.Great post, couldn't agree more.
Did you think Angelino looked more comfotable doing that than any of the others ?
I thought he was way ahead, & it's not surprising, as Vieira had him doing that two yeas ago.

I think like any player still thirsty for success, he can improve. If Guardiola can instil that mentality in players, half the battle is won. They're great players, but they can be better - IF they want to be. For some of them, they will need to improve just to keep their place. If they're not up for that challenge, they probably shouldn't be with us.
