Caballero was comfortable and could do nothing about the goal. Forced a miss from André Gomes when Baca most needed to score.
Zabaleta turned back the clock, put in strong tackles and made some good clearances. Kept Neymar quiet all night with good runs forward.
Otamendi went to ground a little too often but also made some crucial interceptions, blocks and tackles. Puts his body on the line for us.
Stones made a terrible pass that almost cost us but other than that played like money well spent. Made Umtiti look like Jamal Lascelles.
Kolarov didn't put a foot wrong against the world's best player despite an undeniable pace difference. Positionally perfect.
Fernandinho was our engine as ever, made us tick and regained possession countless times. Most underrated player in the world?
De Bruyne was quiet down the left but came alive second half. Clever free kick, refused to be outstrengthed and set up Navas brilliantly.
Gundogan played like a man possessed. He earned his title of bargain of the summer and continued his surprising goalscoring form. Genius.
Silva held it all together with some brilliant pressing, good crosses and incisive vision. Needs to work on physical strength but still world class.
Sterling is officially the best English player in the world right now. Excellent pass to Gundogan, got into great positions. Still a bit wasteful.
Aguero put in the best performance I've seen from him since the 6-1 against Newcastle, even though he had no goals to show for it.
Special mentions to Fernando and Navas who are both important assets coming off the bench and proved it last night.
It's hard to pick, but for me De Bruyne misses out because of his anonymous first half.
3rd- Kolarov
2nd- Aguero
1st- Gundogan
My vote goes to a man who cost less than Paul Pogba's fat dutch agent.
