City v Boro post match

We have got a team with too many players who look good on the eye but lack a ruthless streak.

In the past it has never been a problem for Pep because he has had the likes of Messi, Eto'o, Villa, Henry, Lewandowski, Muller, Robben and Ribery who can all score goals.

You get them playing possession football and them players will take the chances they create.

However, in this side we have fuck all. Kun will be the only player to score over 15 PL goals for us this season and it's a major problem.

It's like the chance Silva had today. It was literally harder to miss than score. The only way you can even give the keep a remote chance of saving it is by hitting hit at a comfortable height for him and that's exactly what he did. Even Kun is missing a large proportion of his chances. He missed a free header from 6 yards out and an even easier chance at the end of the game.

Against Everton, Southampton and Middlesboro we must have created 60 chances and scored 3. We must have also conceded only 10 chances and conceded 3. It is not good enough.

There's a strange discussion – if it is one – going on on this thread tonight. Probably because everyone's well wound up. Who's mouthing off about 'Pep out'? Who's saying 'Pep's shite'? Who's saying we're shite? Really, who? I'm still buzzing from Tuesday, we're well on track to become one of the two or three most powerful clubs in Europe under Pep's initial tenure of three years. And we may well be champions come May, who knows? I happen to think that today – yes, today – the team got a number of things wrong, and that, yes, Pep too got something wrong. And unless we're now in North Korea, I suppose we have the right to express that opinion.
I don't think anyone has used the word 'shite' but phrases like 'shocking tactics at home in the premier league' and 'another coaching failure by Pep' are ridiculous and surely, on the other side of the discussion, that can be pointed out?

We created enough chances in this game and the Everton game to win both. Poor finishing cost us but the chances were there. I don't see how the manager can be blamed for that but some will point out that he picks the team. Well, who do we pick in front of Aguero/de Bruyne, so that our finishing will improve? I don't have the answer.

It's apparent that we won't win the league now this season.Weve only won once after CL games this season and that was against Bournemouth.
We looked knackered 2nd half, Chelsea and Liverpool been Europe free have too much of an advantage,

Just lack that ability to make the possession count.

This season is more a work in progress as we bring in players to change the old guard.

In saying that only Spurs have outplayed us and we still could have got something from that game.

We will get better in years to come I am confident of that so its something to look forward to.

In the meantime we have to take the rough with the smooth and disappointing results like today.

you're acting like you're surprised. This place is embarrassing when we don't win. It's so black and white, it's odd.
Im sure everyone is upset if we don't win but the overreaction, jesus Christ and doggy style Mary.youd think Stuart Pearce was still in charge and the takeover was just a dream. What makes it worse is the majority are grown fucking men.

The majority who overreact were conspicuous by their absence on Tuesday night.

Boro are no mugs, they held Arse to 0-0.

They are shit. Horrible to watch and that was a poor result no question.

We cannot keep throwing points away at home. We haven't played anyone yet and have lost more points already than in both title winning seasons with 12 games to go. Pep has got to find a way and a good start would be playing two strikers in games like this. Do we need Fernandinho and Gundogan at home and what exactly does Clichy offer in these type of games?

Very frustrating 2nd half and extremely wasteful in front of goal.

I live down south and I'm surrounded by them all in this order.

Liverpool
the shit
Arse
Spurs

Nvere used to mind fans of the others until we had success. Liverpool fans have shown that they are strange entitled **** ish know nowts and the Londoners are very bitter about our money and also have a complex about being bigger than us.

I'm used to united fans being clueless about the broader picture and being from places like Truro and newbury. I can swat those Twats away but the others are far more venous without having a grasp on history etc.

Leicester suited me down to the ground.

Ive lived down south now for for about 7-8 years. Lived in london for 3 and half years and now down in cornwall...newquay to be be precise....loads of scoucers for some reason...so many I've stopped going to the pub to watch games as i cant stand them...had quite a few arguments in pubs esp in the season where we pipped them to the league.....they were giving it the big one after i watched them beat us 3-2 and i was the only city fan in the place....i took great pleasure going back in over the next few weeks especially after the stevie g slip!!!!!

When i was in london the only trouble i had was from utd fans........arse and chelsea fans were always ok nd just open to talking about football
