City v Bristol City 1st leg post match

Well played Bristol City though. They came and played some good football, better than 70% of the premier league to be honest. Wont be an easy second leg.

•When Fernandinho is out we are poor.
•Yaya is sadly finished as a city player.
•Mangala is the most unsuited player for Pep’s system that I can think of.
Zinchenko has potential to be a very good player.
•We need Sanchez.

Would have preferred more than a goal advantage going to theirs but after that performance even a win was a stretch so so be it.

Hopefully with the fixture list back to normal by the second leg we can go strong team selection wise.

Special mention to Danilo, Mangala and Sane who were extra poo

Not at our best, we wasn't poor but wasn't great either, maybe the 2 legs played a part in that.
A good win to take into the second leg.
Credit to Bristol they played well, better than some premiership teams.

Nice finish!
And hopefully that game has all but killed off 2 odd points of view spouted by a minority of blues:
1. We'd somehow be better off without Aguero
2. Evans is not a significant upgrade on Mangala

It is absolutely shocking that the best performances against us this season at the Etihad have been from Bristol City and Wolverhampton Wanderers! They came, they were disciplined defensively but at least they had a go.
Our finishing was a bit poor tonight. Gundogan and Bernardo have only shown flashes of good play. I though Gundogan had finally come good against Burnley but no. A bit sloppy tonight.

Well... That was easy.

Bristol did well, but we should see it out in a fortnight. A little more composure in the final third, and we’ll win at their place too.

For time on pitch - Sergio 10/10. - KdB 8/10 - Mangler 2/10 - shame.
Lot of credit to Bristol - even though Manc. City - were poor overall
