Okay mate, me neither actually :)

Talking of games when it pissed down all night.
Anybody remember a game at Maine Road against Leicester in about
95/96 season. It was when they were rebuliding the Kippax and there
was only one tier built, all obviously incovered. Me and my dad went to that
one but he went in the Kippax and i went in the North Stand.
Remember he was drenched to the bone when we met after the game
and i was giving him a bit of stick because i was nice and dry.
As was so often the case i think it was a very dissapointing result too if i remember rightly.
I remember that Spurs game the season before and it pissed it down, i was sat in the kippax front row DD. Got bloody soaked that day!

Oldham away in the early 1980's it was one of the first away games of the season in August. It pissed down non stop all afternoon I was soaked through to my underpants!

It pissed it down all night as well

Was that the match that Rosler warmed down by himself in front of the City fans even though he'd not got off the bench? Think he was trying to make a point to Clark (or whoever was the manager then) that he should be in the team

Thats was the one, it did p*ss down all night at the sh*t hole that is Gigg Lane. Uwe was applauding us everytime he ran down to our end and i seem to remember him giving his boots to some young kid at the end of his session and we were all convinced that was the last time we would see him in a blue shirt.........quality player and an all round class act was Uwe!!

And his Grandad bombed OT alledgedly :-) !!

Yeah i remember Uwe at Gigg Lane, he didn't start and he just distanced himself from the team and staff. Brian Horton was the only manager that got the best out of Rosler and although he loved the club and the supporters, he needed a manager that loved him and looked after him.

Who would have played up front that night? Bradbury and Dickov with Kinkladze playing just behind?

Felt sorry for Bradbury. The massive transfer fee really did seal his fate before he played his 1st game. He had to be a goal machine in his first game or else he was a failure. I remember a pre season friendly we played at Burnley and he scored 2 goals in the 1st 7 minutes. The game was shown on cable's, Live! TV.

Oldham - If that was the game I'm thinking about, it was sunny in the morning and everyone went without a coat (it was August), pissed through by half time !!! 1987, Varadi 1-1

That Oldham game is the wettest I've ever been at football.

It was a hot summer's day and about 3.05pm a huge summer thunderstrom broke.

I can remember hundreds of lads banging on the doors of the away end to be let out, presumably to go home and get dry.
