Although I think tickets for just this game go on sale in a couple of weeks, you can buy them now via the San Jose Earthquakes website (<a class="postlink" href="http://www.sjearthquakes.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">www.sjearthquakes.com</a>) if you also buy a ticket for their game against NY Red Bulls on July 2. However, you only pay an extra $10 for the Earthquakes game, so it's well worth it, even if you only want the City ticket.

i will be attending this game but are us city fans gonna be sat together? can we get the tickets for this game, vancouver and la galaxy from city box office?

Typically, fans are not separated at US sports events. The tickets that are part of the Earthquakes package deal are in one of three particular sections, but they can be bought by anyone.

I don't know if the City website will be selling tickets for a specific part of the ground, but I suppose that if any block of tickets is sold by City, that would probably become the City section by default.

I bought 3 today off the Giants ticket website. Don't think there will be a City section per se but we can choose a pub near AT&T Park before the match as I did with some Blues in Portland last year.

Glad I won't have to travel this year and looking forward to seeing a few more of the first team this time around.

city will announce any day now what they are doing with regards to ticket allocation

There's an Irish bar just across the road from the ground on 3rd st (can't remember it's name) and then there's 'Daves bar' at 3rd/Market St. Good boozer and used to have some good tunes on the juke box. It's about 10mins walk down 3rd St towards AT&T park.

with a bizzare twist of fate, I might actually be going to Santa Clara on business on Monday the 18th...if this goes ahead on the 16th I'll see if I can swing an earlier flight out..

Chaps...

You can buy tickets from <a class="postlink" href="http://www.worldfootballchallenge.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.worldfootballchallenge.com/</a> website, click on the game link which will bring you to the SF Giants ticketing for the game.

It will ask you for a coupon code. This coupon code is SOCCER11.

We have a SF Manchester City Blues Supporters club run out of Maggie McGarry's pub in North Beach, owned by a blue Mick. We'll be there before and after the game.

North beach is about a 10 minute taxi ride from the ball park but it is the best area for out of towners to party.

Look for me, Dave, tall, big-nosed wearing a red carnation.
