What's the lowdown on this game? It's a final, right? Is it two legs? Can't find any info other than what's on the OS. If it's a one-legger how did we get the game at the CFA?

I believe this was always set up in such a way that the final would only ever be played in the UK, had it been 2 English sides a draw would have been made for the home advantage in a single leg final. As we are playing Porto and all games must be played in England we automatically became hosts.

Found it!

Group-stage matches will be played between October and March 2015. All matches will be organised by the Premier League. Clubs will play each team in their group once and all matches, including those between international teams, will be played in England. Upon completion of the group stages the winners and runners-up from each group will progress to the quarter-finals, semi-finals and final, all to be played as single-leg ties in England.

The PL have stitched up Johnny Foreigner good and proper!!

No, that's down to UEFA. Strangely enough the rags didn't enter it and Gill had a hand in trying to get it blocked entirely. Coincidence?

It had to be played in England only, because UEFA couldn't stop it then. It's also no coincidence that UEFA quickly altered the format of the UEFA U19 tournament next season, making it much bigger and including teams that weren't likely to qualify due to their 1st teams not being in the main CL tournament.

If we manage to host a big final with a good Crowd and Atmosphere it will really upset UEFA in comparison to the cosy arrangements at their Swiss finals venue. Our CFA is rapidly becoming the place to hold prestigious small games! Get down there and send UEFA another warm message!
