I think this weather makes for the worst possible time to bring on a player accustomed to playing in Italy for more than a decade.

I think best.

Italy's fucking freezing cold, snows all the time in winter and it makes the play slow down which will suit him

I was not talking about the snow itself, but having been to Roma and Genoa several times in winter (and played football whilst) I can say that it most definitely does not regularly snow like this and accumulate on the pitch.

I'll agree to disagree but I was also factoring in Pizarro's recent injury history in my thoughts as well.

It might not have been the worst thing in the world if the commentators had got their wish for two yellows for AK - at least he would be forced to play Clichy!
