In fairness the pie, mash, peas and gravy showed up the Etihad food for the absolute rip off it is. Was encouraging to see Kev and Gundo look in decent nick.

Cole played really poorly. He gave the ball away constantly. miscontrolled balls at his feet and generally looked seconds behind everyone else. That performance did not hint at a young player on the verge of a break through. Hope its a temporary blip. If the lad is misbehaving as some on here have hinted, I hope to hell the club are smart enough to sort it out.

That goes without saying. We pride ourselves on the way the club is run. There has not been one player that's left our club playing worse than before he came here. Not a single one. Weve lost a couple of players due to family issues. But nothing else.

I went to the game yesterday and I was impressed by the way the lads played. I watched the highlights later and Alistair Mann said that Girona had pretty much a first team out. I'm not writing anyone off but I can't say I saw any individuals that are ready for the step up. The young Algerian on the wing seemed to be coasting through the game.
