I'd just play the youth team. Gives all our players extra rest, no doubt Liverpool will be happy to burn all there's and it would completely deflate any victory from them.

Sitting at home with their feet up doesn’t get them ready for West Ham. Pre-season is about the total opposite of rest! They had their rest, now it’s time to work. Rest will next happen when the Champions League Group stage begins. Until then, there won’t be much rest/rotation as it’s 1 game per week.
