i know Liverpool is going to be tough. But i'd be disappointed if we didn't win this game.
It'd be another worrying sign that we still struggle against top sides. Up until Pellegrini's 3rd and final season, we were smashing top teams. For the past 2 years our record against the "top 6" has been abysmal.

Imagine the buzz in the ground when sanchez runs out for the first time. Liverpool fans will be well up for it as well if they get their targets. Makes for a great game.

I have been wondering the same, what our top 6 record is since we started the pep style under pellers, and compared with the Mancini period

We have an amazing squad and we will get Sanchez and a CB to top that up.

I have two big concerns

1- We have too many similar players who when played together get in each others ways
2- We are not playing our amazing players in their best positions, Rather in the wrong roles at times :(

Hate to say it but saw Rags play Leicester and every player seemed to be in his ideal position and they all worked well.

Hope the coaching staff and Guardiola can come up with the best formation for these amazing talented players to perform to their best and play them to their strengths.

It's still early but the squad and players we have can do much better in the right formation and tactics/positions.

We can be destroying teams 4 - 0 like Rags or Liverpool our squad is much better than theirs yet we struggled in all the games so far to get a draw or late winner

If teams set up against us like they do against liverpool we would easily win 4 - 0 as well. Unfortunately they dont. Its a problem we need to address otherwise this season will end up like last season.

I would be over the (blue) moon if we beat them next week, but would take a draw now if it was offered now

I think it is high time we won against liverpool. They have been a bogey side for some years now and if we are going to win back the premiership title this season then we need to make the first statement of intent against them. It wont be easy going but i want the 3 pts

Nullify there front 3 and stop them making a quick start and we win, disregard their threat and we play Russian roulette against a top 6 side again and that usually means dropped points. If Sanchez doesn't sign play sane. Our bench will be far superior to theirs so later in the game we can change if needed. Don't isolate vinny and ota please pep.
