Anyone else not too bothered about Sterling missing this one?

Well, for one, I would take the three points we got on Saturday over him being available so if that was the choice, would take those two extra points every time ... but second, I can't remember him having a good game for us against that lot since his transfer across ... so I am actually viewing this as a blessing in disguise!

just checked the stats and the on their last eight visits , the dippers have won one , but looking at parts of this thread you would think they have only got to turn up to win , Vinny is a big miss , but we have improved our defence 100% with top class full backs where as the Dippers have a young kid playing right back and Moreno (just ask any dipper how good they think he is) at left back and Matip and another clown in the middle. They also have Llalana and ****inho missing ,and if Watford can smash three goals past them quite sure we can do the same.................... 3-3 it is then :)

Some of the hype about Liverpool on here is way over the top. I might have Can, Mane & Coutinho (If available) in our team, although I'm not sure that Mane and Coutinho are that much better than our equivalent players. Henderson, Wijnaldum & Lallana (if available) would be useful to have in the squad. The rest are fairly average.

I'd really like to see Fernandinho dropped because I think he's been awful in the first few games but I assume we can really afford to do without him until Gundogan is back. Yaya seems totally out of favour?

Without Kompany were gonna struggle.
Expect it to be like chaos at the back and their pace will kill us.
Unbelievable we didn't address the centre back / Kompany on going injury situation straight away after last season.
Now we have 3 centre backs who don't install much confidence when he's out.

It will be interesting to see city's defensive shape and players.

In the press conference he gave nothing away. I wonder if rather than doing a like for like swap, we might play a full back at centre back.

Regardless of which players we go for, I hope we play 4 at the back.

Priority in this game is to win and take our chances. In the games against the big clubs last season we outplayed most at home and yet drew or lost. Just win this one City.

Reading between the lines, Kompany's absence sounds like it will be brief.

Our defenders are as quick as their forwards. it's decision making that's the issue, and perhaps confidence
