I'm not insinuating anything of the kind. Some Liverpool fans love to talk about their club, and its history, in terms that suggest that it's better than other clubs'. They are probably the worst for it. You'll never get me talking about City in those terms in relation to other clubs, all of which have history; good and bad.

When they talk in those terms it is correct (imo) to remind them (or at least ourselves) that their history, like all football clubs, is chequered, and perhaps not something to unequivocally boast about, in relation to clubs like City. If they didn't talk in those terms, then there would be no need for a reminder.

Unlike many on here, I like scousers, and I have many friends who are Liverpool fans, but I won't roll over and have my tummy tickled when someone hypocritically looks down their nose at my club.
 
Hopefully Pep can get the better of Klopp in England for a change.
