City v Liverpool - Post Match Thread

It was about both the two events involving the Liverpool fans, 1 in Heysel in Belgium, the other one in Sheffield at Shef. Weds. ground. How the Liverpool fans are blaming everyone else, but putting the blame onto someone else, and that ,they are not responsible for anything that happened.

Most of todays paper's where they have interviewed past strikers like Alan Shearer, Ian Wright, etc., all say it wasn't a read card. If anyone did that sort of attack in the street they would be arrested for assault. By FIFA'S own laws of the game that was serious foul play and an automatic red card.
Garry Neville on sky sports during the match said it wasn't a red card. I just wonder if that had been Mane on De Gea, what he would have said, more than likely that has got to be a red card. The ref. J. Moss had no alternative but to sent Sadio Mane of for that challenge.

It would have been a totally different perspective put on it if it had been de gea, thats pretty much guarenteed. The fact that pretty much every ref who's given their opinion says its a definite red sums up how little the likes of Neville, Murphy, Shearer etc are applying the rules and not letting their bias sway their opinion.

They weren't at Hillsborough

Sutton has been the worse.
Still doesn't think it was a red because some Newcastle player got off with a booking for the same offence.
Non footballer presenter and ex player Kilbane explain it too him.
Still not got a clue.
After the game the ex ref explained it was an easy decision to make.
Again argued the case for not being a sending off because he was entitled to go for the ball and was looking at the ball all of the time.
You do wonder what part of dangerous play and stonewall red card they do not get.
Seems like all the players with a nasty side to them are struggling to understand the decision.
Savage,Wright,Shearer and Sutton.

What they all have in common is they're fuckin numb as piss stones.

Cheers. If we had been playing Burnley or Palace and they were carving us open in the same way, it's a different conversation. But IMO we need to remember that Liverpool, for all that we gave them a fucking good hiding on Saturday, are still a bloody good team. I'm not sure there is a better attack in the league, apart from our own, and even without Kompany, whilst it wasn't comfortable, we nonetheless kept them out.

I thought our secondary defending was excellent after they got in some dangerous positions. Otamendi had a mare but there were others to mop up his mess.

Would have been interesting to see how it would have gone defensively had they not had a sending off because 2nd half they were zero threat.

If it was any of our players on an other keeper it would be a hanging offence for every single pundit in the country,we all know it as do they, fuck them we know their game
