We had better paste them at their place, the players will be motivated on both sides
Agreed and something tells me the ref will want to 'even' it up.We had better paste them at their place, the players will be motivated on both sides
If we beat them again it'll be twice as satisfying.
The ground did sound a little quiet in the second half - would've loved to hear the whole crowd really rubbing it in!
Without doubt, our firepower got into the Liverpool heads in the sense that their natural instinct would be to go for broke (nothing to lose) but fear of being destroyed from so many lethal options left 'em neither defending nor attacking. In recent years opposing teams have confidently parked the bus initially, but with our enhanced heavy artillery, now with two full backs who can attack as well as defend, teams must be half expecting to be inviting disaster. Attack us and we'll exploit the space, sit back and we have a bit more magic to unlock teams. And in recent years, teams have targeted our left side - always our biggest weakness. That weakness has been plugged, albeit still work to do in the middle when Vinnie's not fit.The reality is - City 5 bindippers 0.
Mane was rightly sent off.
The sending off didn't change the game, we were on top, leading 1-0 and ended up winning. Possibly the scoreline would have been different at the end , but we would still have won IMO.
The bindippers threw the towel in after half time - did they? Or did we just overwhelm them?
Surely they could have found some inspiration from somewhere? After all, they only had Bravo to beat.
Any City fan who can't enjoy this fine victory for what it was needs to get themselves to the doctors , ask for some anti depressants and keep off the forum until they kick in!
See you in the spring....

It's the range of crosses - cut backs along the ground, raking diagonals, near post, far post and usually first time (no hesitation).Mendy is a big plus for us. Him getting in behind and putting in strong crosses, has and will cause havoc.
I can see one of top scorers being OG ;-)
And that save by Joe from Berbatov. In the end history only remembers the victors. FA Cup semi against the rags we were battered for 30 mins and could have been 3 nil down until a higher line was played. The sick swan was fairly even at 1 nil up until the sending off. We don't remember 'gosh that was lucky we could have lost those matches'. We only remember 'ha ha fuckin stuffed those rag twats' or City were rampant and was a turning point in the football power base etc etc etc.
When Vinnie plays, Otamendi plays well. No accident - it's called leadership. In my opinion Otamendi was getting beaten time and again, and was on a yellow. It maybe a subjective opinion, however a lot of other people also thought that Salah was causing City a lot of problems in the game's opening eg https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...er-city-liverpool-premier-league-match-report Mane's sending off was a pivotal moment which changed the pattern of play, and that was in part triggered by Ederson's bravery. That's not a hypothesis, it's a statement of fact.
I don't like the system with 3 at the back when we're facing forwards like Mane, and Salah.
