Great find!
I know we were at home but the battering we gave the blue dippers with 10 v 11 shows what can be done with hard work and a good attitudeI was bloody delighted not to see Salah emerge for the second half. He was giving the Otter a very hard time.
Either he was carrying an injury or Klopp dropped a bollock there.
As for the 10 who took the pitch in the second half I did not expect them to roll over so easily. Must be a bit worrying for you...
Away from home at spurs in the cup,3nil down and Barton sent off at half time..hard work and determination got us through.I know we were at home but the battering we gave the blue dippers with 10 v 11 shows what can be done with hard work and a good attitude
Agree with every word. The point of red carding that type of challenge is that it deters the more cynical deliberate use of a high boot to intimidate, which threatens the opponent with injury to make him take his eye off the ball. You can't start guessing whether or not intent is behind the action. Only the player can know that and they don't usually own up. It's not park football, they're playing for large sums of money and some will do anything to get an edge.
Zabba is definitely running in reverse...to ths bottom of the league,in the twilight of his career.Congratulations ... one of the most blinkered quotes ever in a post match thread. Ota is not quick ... but Zabba looks like he runs in reverse towards the twilight of his career.
It was a fair post. When Saleh didn't come out for the second half I assumed Klopp had chucked in the towel, was making sure Saleh was fresh for the CL and told his team to make sure it didn't end up being 3 or 4-0.
Well I suppose that strictly they achieved that.
Completely agree. Was shocked to see Klopp sub Salah off at halftime as he and Mane were the ones who were causing us most problems prior to the red card. Once we scored the second Klopp had given up on the game.
As Carragher said after the game, in that situation you lost an attacking player, and started to play more of a 4-4-1, so there's no excuse to concede more goals. I understand they were going to be less of a threat going forward but they were abysmal defending in the second half.
What, and risk being down to 9 men?To the credit of Liverpool, they didn’t resort to dirty tactics once they were out of the game.
The worrying thing is, Klopp is our one World Class part of the team, Mane and Coutinho have the potential, but he is the one we rely on and he has made a few baffling decisions this season already. The only excuse I can give is that he thought the game was gone and saved a couple for wednesday, but no Liverpool team should be that feeble, it's embarrasing. I still think under this man we will get it right eventually.
