City v Newcastle, Carling Cup - Post Match Thread

4 lads can hold their heads up after that - Jovetic,Milner,Fernandinho and Mangala(was very wobbly but never went hiding)

The rest ranged from poor to downright embarrassing,Dzeko and Kolarov being our worst offenders.

Quite possibly that's the worst performance I have witnessed within the 'new era'.The defence lacked any cohesion or communication while over half the team looked like they couldn't give a shite.

In the league, injuries allowing,we have to stop rotating our main men and we have to play to our strengths, for me,that means Kun as the lone man and Jovetic supporting,Silva orchestrating and a base of the Ferns.

Last 5 matches:
3 defeats (against mid table teams)
1 draw after being 2 up
1 decent win

That's not right with the talent we have.

3 defeats in the last 5? I only get Newcastle & West Ham! Drew with CSKA and beat Villa and Spurs.

Sorry, my bad. Its 3 am where I am :( Too angry to sleep...

Shocking,dog's dinner of a performance.
I'm now dreading Sunday as much as the rags will be looking forward to it.
Pellegrini needs to get a grip,he looked fucking clueless on the touchline.
Trouble is,every team knows we're there for the taking.

Very disappointing. If this isn't a wake up call for MP & the players I don't know what they would need. No excuses of bad ref decisions and unlucky chances. NU were far and away the better team. Shocking decision to play Silva rewarded with an injury in the first mns of the game. Now doubtful for the derby. The last 3 years I've looked forward to the derby's with glowing confidence. I have to say I'm very concerned about Sundays game.
I'm always nervous when we play the scum - this next game has me even more nervous.

Can't believe that all our summer acquisitions are looking so poor (Lamps the possible exception). Truly awful tonight. Prefer Richard Wright in goal to Caballero.
I prefer a signpost in goal to Caballero. No need to rotate keepers. Play Hart unless injured.

Thank God he's not from the future....I'll get my own coat thank you....

Seriously what has happened to our team?
We've started the season badly and seem to be getting worse not better.
We can't pass, we can't score and we certainly can't defend.
We've no fight and the pace we play games at is appalling.
I actually left a few minutes early tonight cos I was getting that wound up I thought it was better for my health to go,
The last time I left before the final whistle was against Spurs and Pearce was in charge. Sort of sums it up for me at the moment.
