cant belive there are no kids again, not even on the bench, yet players like kolarov are on the bench. There is no hope for any youth team players right now.

especially in a game that doesnt mean anything, even liverpool are giving a kid a chance today

Kolarov isn't on the bench...he's starting !

What a boring team, must be inspiring for our EDS that they can't even get on the bench for the mother of all non-games.

Nobody's going to apologize for a professional team selection.

People have paid money to see Tevez, Dzeko, Nasri, Yaya etc.

if thats the case no youth players will ever get a chance. I would pay to see a young player in the team

Watch the EDS then.

They aren't in the first team squad for a reason obviously.

I thought we paid to see and support Manchester City? Certainly when I buy my shirts and tickets it's not just to see Aguero, it's to see everyone and watch our team. The EDS is part of that and a vital part of our future, it's a completely missed oppotunity not to give someone a chance to come off the bench. We simply don't need to have Garcia and Barry on the bench, but imagine the world of good it could do to one of our youngsters

And what good would it do a Spanish International who cost £16m to not make the squad at the expense of an EDS player?

Don't give me that "I thought we went to support the club"

What do you want? A few EDS players on the bench who might not even get on, for one game and then next season starts and they are back out of the squad? Maybe no young player is deemed good enough, hence the recent shake up.

Sorry for wanting the club to be professional. Don't understand all these "gutted there's no youngsters" half of you have never seen them play yet you want them to start ahead of established premier league players and get annoyed when they don't.

How are you gonna know if they are good enough unless they are given a chance, players like suarez have been brilliant in the eds team, he cant really perform any better, but still doesnt get a chance. Established prem players, like garcia whos been shit and kolarov and dzeko who are gonna leave, yeah they definitly deserve to start ahead of players who actually want to play and could be our future

You are saying none of Suarez, Lopes, Pozo, Ntcham, Razak, or Huws have any chance of breaking into the first team? And in a completely throw away match there should be no reason they even experience a senior match day?

You are right, none of them will ever play for the first team, even if they are good enough. They'll all be off well before they prove themselves.

Yeah, let's start a few in the Derby next season.

Otherwise, how would we know they are capable of playing under that pressure.

Any youngsters obviously haven't been deemed ready, otherwise they would have gotten their chance.

I'm sure Norwich can move up or down the table, that's a few million that would do a club like them a world of good or another "lower" team. So playing it like a normal, regular season game is professional yes.

if we dont give these youngsters a chance in a game we dont need to win, how the hell are they meant to develop, they need first team experience!! no hope for any of our academy players at all.
