For much of the game they didn't manage this level. There were some quite high aggregates last night and we could have topped the lot. The main aim of most of the teams we play in the WSL and in the CL is to get forward and into the penalty area. We seem, probably under instruction, to keep the ball and we will eventually get there, but as we approach the ball is processed back to the half way line and any athletic team can reorganise and nullify the next attack, or we simply, as we did last night, give the ball back to the opponents. We were very lucky with the first goal, and a pen, rarely given in the PL unless VAR wakes up, and could have finished with just a 1-0. The passing and movement of Paris was far slicker but they seemed toothless up front. We were never going to be anywhere near optimum performance levels tonight. Starting with a 5-0 lead meant we could basically coast through this game.
I needed mine once I was over the bridge and into the PRC - The People's Republic of Clayton.Good to see Bunny on the score sheet. The Haaland of women’s football.
No visa required tonight.
Let's hope it turns out better than Malcolm Allison's "terrify Europe" quote. For much of the game they didn't manage this level. I expect Barcelona, Juventus, 'n, for travelling Galatasaray! Taylor has said on the OS that we can go a long way in the CL - how far dya wanna go, Gareth? How's Turkey?
Chuffed with this. Will be amazing to see how we measure up against Barcelona and with the top two going through I was more concerned about avoiding Juventus in pot 3 who just did a number on PSG.Barcelona
