City V PSG ticket Prices: 1894 Group statement in full

my ticket money came out yesterday, was £40 thats cheaper than most premier league matches for a single ticket. I dont think £40 is excessive for this stage of the competition. The cost in general is far too high but in comparison for what you are getting its not bad. The club need to look at all pricing at the ground i bought a pie of sunday and i think i paid £3.60 !!!! its a 50p pie

Agree.Mine and my lads came out today and it was £50 for both of us.Thats after a £10 discount for being on the cup scheme which I dont think is too bad.

That said,I just wish the club would drop prices for those who wont be going as they cant afford it.My elder lads mates are not going, still at 6th form and cant afford £30.This is how fans get out of the habit of going.Fill the stadium City, the team needs the support at the moment.

The discount is for all ST holders and Citizens, regardless of being on the Cup Scheme

I agree the prices are high but no higher than they have set previous so i don't see what the media ding dong is all about this time? Like others have said PL match day tickets are £50+ for the 'Catergory A' teams. This is the QF of what most people class as the premium club cup competition. I'm not saying i agree with the club but i can see how they've come up with price because people have paid this price before. Where we're the protests last season?

£40 for a champions league quarter final tie. It was £50 for Norwich a week ago, £59 for Chelsea away, Looking at a probable £70+ for the PSG away tie. I have no problem with City's pricing on this one.

Think we need to be more careful before we pass off statements such as Chelsea and Arsenal having more affluent fanbases as fact. There are plenty of working class fans of both of those clubs who have been priced out of going to games and it wasn't ok when it happened to them either.

I think the fans on the cup scheme should receive an additional discount as they have committed to paying for the games.
Ticket pricing is probably less than most clubs would charge for same game but in saying that most of our fan base are local and less affluent than some other clubs.
Hopefully the club will take notice of what fans are saying and price the games so that families can still attend and keep/create an atmosphere. Come on City listen to the supporters and lower the prices.

Here's my view - fuck the people making these decisions for our club. Fuck the glory, I watched us when we were shit because we were Manchester City Football Club. I grew up with Goater and Weaver as playground heroes. I can pass up the glory if it means I can still afford to watch my club. There's only so long you can carry on paying top prices before you get disillusioned with it all. If it continues, I'd honestly long for the days where we were here or there and I could still fully support us. Watching us win whilst sitting in a bar on a continuous basis would feel hollow and fake.
That's exactly how I feel. Enough is enough now. I thought our club would be different, a new way to run an English club and avoid the embarrassment you get at Old Trafford. But I've had mates priced out and they're in their back bedroom watching it on some shit stream with the missus moaning at them to stop shouting, I'm sat in the ground surrounded by half'n'half scarf selfei-stick cunts who get excited when the opposition have a chance or score as much as they do when we do and don't get me started on the cheese fest that fills the time before and after the match. This isn't traditional English football anymore, it's Americanised/ManUnited 650m fan style football and I don't like it!

The football is dull but I could live with that if it wasn't so expensive and all the garbage that surrounds it wasn't there.

On the club's statement on the Paris price; how can this game be £25 more expensive for me than the Kiev one? £5, £10, yes...but £25? Really? They were givin £20 tickets away to students for Kiev and I was charged £30 and now they want me to pay £55?

Hopefully this is the start of a dialogue with club but if they refuse to engage with the argument then we need to be ready to take some action whether it be leaving early or tennis balls or maybe throwing barm cakes on the pitch !
Oh my God, let's all throw barmcakes on the pitch against West Brom...best idea I've heard so far!
