Merlin has to start for me. If he starts I am very confident we will win. It's not rocket science to say that the form of Kev and Sterling has dropped slightLy since the absence of one of our greatest ever players. I also think Merlin takes the focus off Yaya and as a consequence he gets more space.

It's up to Pellers. If I was him I would definitely start Merlin.
 
Come on blues a good performance and win today. Think we will win comfortably today Silva will make a big difference.

Southampton haven't lost away YET this season, so time to end that run! It will be tough game, but I think we will win.
We showed definite signs of improvement against Juventus, but for some poor finishing, we might've come away with a result, let's home more game time for Aguero has sharpened him up a bit more, and with Silva back, Fernandinho, KDB, Yaya and Aguero on the pitch, and no Mangala! We should have too much for Southampton, especially with last weeks sorry performance still ringing in their ears, the players will want to put things right, let's hope the backlash starts here!

No M11 update but a train update . All signals have failed in the stoke area. ! We r stuck on a train sitting outside stoke station. !
 
I am sure Koeman spent time watching back the Pool/Juve games trying to use some of those tactical moves by Klopp/Allegri.
To be honest I can imagine Pellegrini not caring at all about Sotons previous games, its not like he has special plans usually to set up very differently in terms of the opponent.

Where are their weaknesses, where can we hurt them the most, what is their main strength, how to counter that etc.

Or we just set up like we would play vs Sunderland today? Quite possible.

Lets hope we win, put pressure on the rivals who all play after our game.
