Got to box clever with Fernandinho.
He needs to rest one of the 2 games next week otherwise he risks suspension vs the rags.
If he gets through vs saints then he needs resting vs Wham. Or if he gets a booking vs the Saints then he's OK.
Know it sounds obvious but let's hope Pep knows this.

Play against Southampton and pick a strategic yellow giving him the day off against West Ham and back fresh for the derby

Yep 4 yellows.
So think logically he has to miss West Ham.
If he gets booked vs Saints he misses West Ham. If he doesn' get booked vs Saints and plays vs WH and gets booked then he misses the derby. Think I have this right.

If he is going to rest KDB in either game ( I don’t think he will ) then I’d make it West Ham as I see that as the easier game
If United drop points Tuesday I’m certain he will start v Southampton

Looking forward to this game. Southampton will be on a high after their victory today and will hopefully come to play football rather than park a bus.

It would be good to rest KDB but not sure that we can afford to.

Maybe start with todays team with maybe Jesus for Kun and swap KdB for Gundogan early in the second half if we have managed to establish a two goal lead.

But we'd still have the same problem ahead of Spurs. Better to rest him v West Ham by getting him banned for it. Then he's definitely available for both (barring injury).

Danilo in, Delph in the middle, Dinho rest, Jesus in, Aguero out, Gundogan in, De Bruyne out. Can't take both Merlin & Kevin out, especially for Bernardo who has been poor this season albeit in limited minutes.
