Really we all know that Vieira need games!!
unfortunately looks like Richards will miss out!
....................Given....................
Onuoha......Vieira.....Lescott......Bridge
..................de Jong...................
SWP.............Ireland............Petrov
............RSC......Adebayor.............
We need height at the back, Zabaleta is too small to play against Stoke, especially when we have Onuoha who has impressed there recantly, and Id prefer to play Vieira in the middle as I think Boyata has shown that he cant cut it yet...YET.
This should benefit our defending AND attacking, from there throws and corners we have Onuoha, Vieira, Lescott, RSC, Adebayor marking the tal guys with Bridge, de Jong, Ireland and maybe Petrov in the box to. Never bring everyone back for corners though, schoolboy error. Leave SWP/Petrov or both up, that way Stoke will have to leave 2/3 players back.
Also when were attacking, we have RSC, Adebayor, Onuoha, Vieira and Lescott in the box, all with height. With others around them, I would leave Ireland/Petrov on the edge of the box for the knockdown (depends on who's taking it, as Id have Ireland and Petrov taking inswingers from each side)
Maybe leave de Jong back just infront of the halfway line/marking someone because of his ability to defend and his height, if we need to leave two back then Bridge can stay back as well, he isnt that good in the air.
