City v Stoke post match

My biggest moan last season was silva and kdb playing together but pep found a perfect solution . God knows what he said to kdb but his attitude and work ethics has improved tremendously.
All of the team are working as hard as each other & putting in the effort to defend.

Whereas KDB & D Silva may have been too lighweight under Pellegrini, because of a new physicality about them both after 12 months with Pep, the fear of what will happen if an attack breaks down has gone.

Pep has worked wonders with them both & the rest of the team. This is what a proper manager can achieve with backing & having the correct tools.

watched it again today. Truly superb. Just sat shaking my head at Kev's second assist to Leroy. How he saw that pass through three or four players I don't know, how he executed it god only knows.
I love the joy on all of their faces when they score. Pure football heaven.

What I love now is the fear factor is back. The last couple of seasons teams were turning up fancying getting a result, we were a bit of a soft touch at times and everyone was having a go. Not anymore, our almost maniacal workrate and pressing, allied with a deep desire not to be beaten plus our speed and movement has them terrified. Sit back and we will pull them all over the place, with fast dribbling players who can get around them. Attack us and they risk being picked off on lightning counter attacks....that is if they get hold of the ball in the first place. We are full of individual match winners too, we have goals all over the team. Wonderful!

It felt like a privilege to be there yesterday. I spent most of the game looking transfixed at the pitch and muttering the likes of 'wow' and 'what a ball'. It was truly magnificent. I was in Block 241, so I had the perfect view of De Bruyne's assists for Sane and Jesus. Two truly stunning passes.
